I’ve had many a drawing mapped out for years and I’m pulling myself away from the marker pen characters for a while to go more figurative again. Several years ago I spent a while taking life drawing classes and did a series of drawings based around the figure whilst I did my Diploma. I love the immediacy of the pencil and the deliberate marks that they leave behind -obviously dependent on the pencil, the pressure, the paper and what lies beneath! The whole scale thing is definitely a thing-giant rabbits and little people, little green men, oh and oversized ice-creams of course. Thank goodness for Illustration Friday. It holds me accountable to follow a brief every week. Love it!
